Why Join?
Sigma Alpha Iota is an excellent way to participate in collegiate music events and make friends with ladies who have a common interest in music. SAI will help you make connections with other musicians all over the nation. We participate in music-related fundraisers, service events, socials, and recitals. Music major or not, we all love music and are passionate about making music and furthering the place of women in the field.
SAI provides many different leadership opportunities to help you help music in your own unique way. There are also several scholarship and award opportunities that the organization offers to its members.
Requirements for Membership
We have a few requirements that must be met to be in the chapter:

You must identify as female.

You must have a UCF GPA of 2.5 or higher.

You must be enrolled in or have already completed at least one music class.
Please note: You DO NOT have to be a music major! We welcome anyone with a sincere interest in music.
Please be aware that you will need to devote some time to the Member-in-Training process. If you for some reason are unable to have time to attend regular meetings or study important chapter information, you may want to go through the Recruitment Period another semester. Although we would like to have as many girls that are excited to be sisters as possible in our chapter, we do not want anyone to jeopardize her studies!
Support System
You will receive contact information for each sister so you will be able to contact them whenever you need help or just want to hang out. Each Member-In-Training also has a big sister to help them along the way so you always have that one person you know will be there for you through your time in our chapter and beyond.
